"In Oct 2022 I was told that I needed a hip. Bone on bone and in horrific pain. Labrum was basically non existent. Saw Angelo at active care. It is now 2924 , no hip pain and have full range of motion without any hip operation. Thank you Angelo . Unlike other pt Operations which have dozens of college kids guiding dozens of patients, at active care there is only 2 patients per hour and Angelo gives you his full attention."

"Making my 1st apt with Elias was so effortless and thorough, I appreciated the professionalism. After several visits, I realized he's "superman." He does everything from making apt's, verifying insurance coverage, to even assisting the therapist daily. Elias's upbeat personality makes the environment so welcoming. Thank you for making every visit comfortable. As for my therapist... remarkable! Only after 4 visits of Barbara working on my back, my pain subsided from 100% pain 100% of the time... to 20% on/off pain. Barbara has been so patient, knowledgeable, and attentive in every way demonstrating her 38 years of experience! I immediately scheduled my daughter. "My wife and I (total knee replacement for her and multiple massive rotator cuff tear surgery for me) both came to Active Care in Denville for physical therapy. The therapists at AC are extremely talented professionals, not only practicing innovative hands on treatment for extended periods of time but also utilizing other techniques such as the shock wave gun and dry needling. More importantly, every patient is considered individually with each therapist applying creative thinking in their approach to their treatment. That type of thinking continues throughout the course of the patient’s treatment. In my wife’s case, for instance, her healing was slightly impeded by continued swelling of her leg. Her therapist, Barbara, thought outside of the box by taking into account a prior injury which in order to help her healing progress. We have received physical therapy in other facilities and they in no way compare to what we received from Barbara and Rick at Active Care. This is the place for the most professional treatment available which, of course, leads to a successful, full recovery!"

"The staff at Active Care in Denville have made a big difference in my health. I was given a script for Physical therapy and decided to give it one more try. I have been to multiple PT practices but this is the most professional, knowledgeable and comfortable experience thanks to Barbara and her staff Elias and Matt. "I can’t say how grateful I am for the staff and services at Active Care. I received a very complex diagnosis this year that left me very confused and disheartened. From the moment I started Vestibular Rehabilitative Therapy & Physical Therapy at Active Care with Bob, I immediately felt heard and hopeful that my symptoms could be managed in time. Right off the bat I could tell that Bob was extremely educated and confident in this field which made me even more comfortable that I was in the right place. Even though I’ve worked mostly with Bob, all of the other therapists and staff have been incredibly welcoming, friendly, and informative. Progress takes time, but I can already see differences that keep me hopeful and coming back! I can’t recommend Active Care enough!"

"Your ledgewood office was endorsed by the Randolph's Rock Steady boxing chapter at the Randolph YMCA for LSVT training. After two and a half weeks of LSVT classes, more like a booth camp, manned by two tough love DRILL Sargents, Martha Cotton and Heather her aide, professionally dispense direct orders. I found myself improving in form, fit and function more like Seating, Stepping, and Rocking. "At the age of 66, my spouse was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. His symptoms included excruciating calf pain, muscular aches, tremors, slurred speech, frequent falls, loss of balance, and trouble standing up from a seated posture. After six months on Senemet, Siferol was given to him in place of the Senemet. It was also at this period that he was diagnosed with dementia. He began seeing hallucinations and became detached from reality. With the doctor's approval, we stopped giving him Siferol and chose to try the Natural Herbs Center PD-5 program, which we had previously investigated. "I have been with active care now for a little over a month for shoulder and neck pain. The facility is amazing. From the 2 friendly front desk receptionists that are ALWAYS smiling to the therapists and their colleagues that assist. Everyone is incredible here. I see Martha and she is wonderful. Extremely knowledgeable, compassionate and caring. My therapy with her has been great. She explains everything, if something seems uncomfortable she will modify immediately. All of her colleagues as well are so kind and caring and helpful. I don’t know everyone’s names but EVERY ONE here is so so nice! They all work as a team in assisting. Facility is very clean and the front desk is always on top of making sure you have follow up appointments. I highly recommend this facility and everyone in it! Thank you!"

"Everyone at Active Care physical therapy has been amazing and so helpful in the care of my frozen shoulder. Every time I come in, I feel welcome and cared for. I have never experienced such good care or kindness from everyone at a physical therapy center. I have worked mostly with Andrea, but Eli, Camilla, Bob and Dee have all been instrumental in my care and recovery (both before and after surgery). "If you’re in pain this is the place you need to be at!!! Not only is the facility clean, new, fresh but the therapist Rik Couwenberg is absolutely amazing. I don’t want to sound like I’m exaggerating, but Rik did an outrageous job on my neck! I went in with neck pain, back pain, tingling in the right arm due to nerve pain I had been feeling for weeks! He took the time to really listen everything that was going on, gave me a diagnosis right on point! His experience talks for itself ! I left 90% better. I left that office wanting to clean, run, take my son to the park and I didn’t want to do any of that for weeks! "Currently going to ActiveCare for an AC separation. The staff is extremely friendly, kind, and empathetic. My only complaint is that it seems like ActiveCare overlaps appointments and the PT may spend less than half of your session with you, letting assistants help or having you do self guided exercises for a larger portion of your time there. I'm not super familiar with the industry, so I dont want to be too quick to criticize since I'm not sure how common this is at other practices. I do feel that it makes me less confident in whether I am doing my exercises correctly and whether I am pushing myself too much or not enough during my recovery."

"This isn’t my first rodeo going here but I have zero complaints. Every PT I’ve seen has been super helpful, as have all the PT aides, and they always help you back to your optimal health. Currently working with Shane and he’s great. He breaks down the process, explains what needs to get done, works with you during exercises and gives you a protocol on all expectations along the way. "Went there for severe bicep tendonitis. I initially hurt my arm lifting a washing machine and the condidtion hadn't improved in over 2 months. I'm a former athlete in my 40's....and Bob and his staff got me from like 50% to over 90% in 3 weeks. I wasn't really a big fan of PT, but I have to say it really worked.....the facility is clean, modern, and everyone was really nice."

"I’ve been using ActiveCare in Ledgewood, NJ since 2013, and each time I’ve returned for different issues, I’ve received excellent care. The staff is friendly, caring, knowledgeable, and work you and with you so you can achieve your best. They answer any questions and are there for you, the client. This also includes the assistants that tend to you too. I have used them for repaired torn tendon after surgery, tendonitis, bursitis, and post stroke care for the past 3 years. "I have been quite pleased with my PT experience at ActiveCare. I feel like I am not a number but a valued patient who matters every time I am there. I have gone to other offices for my neck/spine/lower back issues and none of them were as hands on as AC. I have found there to be a good balance of therapist-led movement and hands-on muscle and joint manipulation and exercize/movement that is taught then self-initiated at future appointments. When selecting a provider for this issue, I tried to be selective and careful up-front and asked a lot of questions before going to my first appointment. ActiveCare's receptionists got the answers to my questions where some of the others never bothered and never returned my calls."

"What relief! Unfortunately, I have been to other Physical Therapy facilities and they do not compare. The attention, care and utter concern ActiveCare has for my well being and improvement has been so reassuring that I am in the right place. I have been seeing Martha and she has such a kindness and comforting bedside manner. She is magical as she can really work on the exact spot you need just by asking a few questions and looking at your movement. Cosmo has also been helping me with my PT and with dry needling. Needling may seem intimidating to some, but it has really made such a difference in my healing. His is very personable and knows his stuff. The aides know you by name and show interest in you as a person. In particular; Anna, Vanessa, and Heather are always meeting me with a smile and compassion. PT may be intimidating if you haven’t started and you have to put in the work. Because of this a some people may hesitate coming at times. But the way everyone is here for your betterment and sincerely want you to heal and become stronger is apparent in each visit. I’d be remiss if I don’t mention Alba and Camilla at the front desk. I can’t imagine their job would be easy between juggling schedules and phone calls while greeting everyone. But every single time I come they make me feel like a guest in their home and welcome. I have been coming here for an injury for the past month and a half, and have come 2 years ago for a separate issue. I have to say, they have only improved over the years. I don’t like that I need to come to PT, but the reality is is that I need it. And I would never go to another place because coming here is such a relief and comfort that I am in good, experienced, hands and they sincerely have my health and wellbeing at heart."

The PT assistants, like Lucy, Carlos, and Shirley, are wonderful and very helpful. All the physical therapists are professional, extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and really care about helping each individual patient. Vinnie is a great PT and is very knowledgeable and caring. Chris and Payam are both amazing and have been immensely helpful in my recovery from my two surgeries. They take the time each session to address any issues I may be having, I never feel rushed, and I always feel great when I leave. In as little as five sessions, he managed to make the pain go away completely. This had been bugging me for years. The only regret is not going to see him sooner! "I have been going to ActiveCare PT for my back pain and I already feel a difference. The whole team is awesome but I mainly worked with Juan and Vinnie. During my visits, there are always fun conversations going on. Everyone here seems to be friends and it is more inviting. Juan and Vinnie never let anyone sit there without an exercise, they are always 100% on top of things. They are incredibly professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I have had PT elsewhere before and have found that this level of PT is far more hands on. They are series about helping patients get to full recovery. This clinic doesn’t give you a “to do list;” they listen to your goals and create a recovery plan custom-tailored to the patient. They’re not just therapeutic, they’re constructive. They guided me through the tried and true recovery process, gave me advice on workouts upon completing the recovery plan. The one thing I would recommend is hiring probably one more therapist. It seemed like there was a lot of patients with very few therapists. But still! The attention was on me 100 percent of the time. However, if another patient with a more severe problem needed more care it would be lacking. I would have also liked to see the owner (Rik? ) involved in the company. "This is my 5th week going to Active Care and I couldn’t be happier with the staff and care. Everyone is so warm, caring and helpful and such hard workers! A big shout out to my PT, Danielle, assistants, Juan, Lena, Lucy, Melanie and the front desk crew! They are all great! They are constantly cleaning the beds and equipment in between patients and they take your temperature upon arrival. I do wish it was a little less crowded and not sure how many are allowed to be in there at one time, but they do try to space people apart in the facility. Although they do have another area with beds, that on more crowded days, they should utilize more. Overall experience has been great so far and would recommend them 100%"

"After spinal fusion surgery earlier this year, I’ve been receiving physical therapy at ActiveCare in Dover. Prior to going for my surgery, I went to several other providers for therapy. Some were better than others but none were the perfect fit for me. Either they were out-of-network or a little too far to drive or I was rushed through my sessions. ActiveCare checks all of the boxes for me. The facility is quite large with enough tables and equipment for everyone. Cleanliness is evident, as is safety concerns during these scary times. The personnel is top-notch. The staff is the best. Viviana takes care of insurance and scheduling. She is so friendly and helpful. Juan assists with keeping everything running smoothly. A personable young man who monitors your therapy and offers suggestions in a positive way. And finally, my physical therapist Danielle. "I am an 85 year old lymphoma cancer patient in remission for the last sixteen months. During my treatment protocol Which required me to be admitted into the hospital, I received chemo 24 hours a day for five days per week, non stop one week out of every month for six months straight. "It’s not often that I write a Google review for a Physical Therapy center, I usually just do them for restaurants, but I felt compelled to share this with anyone interested in how pleased I am with ActiveCare in Dover. I have had the need to come here on various occasions (lower back, foot problems) and every time I’ve been here I’ve had nothing but exceptional service. From the warm greeting of the entire front desk staff, to the kindness and assistance provided by all the Physical Therapy Aides, to the care and expertise of the Physical Therapists themselves. I especially want to acknowledge the gentile bed side manners of Lucinda Quesada (PT Aide). She always welcomes me with a warm smile and an even warmer goodbye. She is meticulous and takes her time to explain clearly the specific exercises that are required as part of my plan of care. I also want to acknowledge two of the therapists, Christopher Jones and Payam Zarrinpour., both are exceptional. They are patient, knowledgeable, and truly take the time to understand my needs and concerns. They have a wide depth and breath of knowledge in physiology and human anatomy. But more importantly, I sincerely appreciate their sense of humor. Not only do their treatments make me feel better but their personality brings out a healthy hearty laugh in me every time. Sure there are many other PT centers. Some much larger, better equipped, and providing a huge suite of services . I know because I have been to some of them too. But IMHO what makes ActiveCare stand out among the rest is their genuine desire and focus to heal you in an environment that is not clinical but rather very family like. Since the summer of 2017, the physical therapists have helped me recover from chronic IT band pain and, most recently, a shoulder dislocation. I would highly recommend this team of physical therapists. Specifically, I have been working with Payam to recover from my shoulder injury. He is very approachable and explains the purpose of each exercise. Overall, the office is well-staffed with friendly and diligent people. "I began physical therapy with Vinnie before the Christmas holidays. As he was going to be on Vacation, I was seen by Doug for the rest of my therapy. The transition was smooth as Vinnie had filled him in on my case. Both men are very professional and thorough. The assistants were wonderful as well. Everyone smiles and seem genuinely happy to be working there. My insurance unfortunately only covered about 12 sessions. I highly recommend this location... observing Chris, I could tell that he, too, knows what he’s doing. Kudos to the efficient office staff who stayed on top of my insurance company. "As soon as you walk in you're greeted with a "how are you doing today" or something along those lines. The Physical Therapists are very nice and are very good. I have an injury no one has ever seen before and my surgeon says I'm making the fastest recovery he's seen thanks to the team. The assistants are the nicest people I have ever met. "My mom who's very old and tired had too much back pain and was prescribed therapy. She's at the age where she's really grumpy and her pain make her not to look forward to doing anything. I remember driving her to therapy the first day and she looked so miserable. On the way out it was like I picked up a whole different person. She kept going on and on about silly jokes the Aide's were telling her and how ''fun'' therapy was. Now she's always looking forward to going to therapy. She schedules months ahead and acts like it's a party she's about to go to. She also dresses ''to impress'' (front desk is always complementing her outfits). It just really amazes me how much change a little attention can give to someone her age. I'm glad she feels the love she deserves."

"Today is my last day working here ( Front Desk Receptionist/ Aide). I absolutely loved this place! My favorite job so far. Everyone is always trying to make each other have a great time. Our patients actually really enjoy coming to therapy and Aides love make their days. Also at the front desk the girls are always doing their best to keep up with all insurance issues.
